Your wedding day is one of the most photographed days of your life—and you want that skin glowing, not guessing. As a professional makeup artist and licensed aesthetician, I’ve seen firsthand how proper skincare can make all the difference under makeup.

Here’s your timeline (and a few pro secrets) to help you prep your skin like a glowing goddess—no stress, no guesswork.

💫 6 Months Before: Start the Glow Game

Now’s the time to get serious about your skin.

  • Schedule a professional consultation – Every bride’s skin is different. I help you build a plan tailored to your skin type and goals.

  • Introduce facials or treatments – Monthly facials, enzyme treatments, or light chemical peels can dramatically improve texture and clarity.

  • Be consistent at home – Cleanser, exfoliation 2x/week, vitamin C in the morning, and a hydrating SPF are your new best friends.

✨ 3 Months Before: Hydrate + Heal

You’ll want your skin calm, plump, and happy leading into the final weeks.

  • Add hyaluronic acid to your routine if you haven’t already.

  • Don’t pick at anything! Seriously, leave extractions to the pros.

  • Focus on barrier repair – Avoid trying anything new now. Think ceramides, gentle moisturizers, and plenty of water.

💍 1 Month Before: No Surprises, Just Glow

This is maintenance mode.

  • Do your final professional facial no later than 2 weeks before the big day.

  • No new products, no risks – Stick to your trusted regimen.

  • Exfoliate gently 1–2x/week to keep skin smooth and radiant.

💄 1 Week Before: Prime Time

  • Get your brows professionally shaped (wax or thread, but not too close to the big day).

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate – Sheet masks and water are your besties.

  • Sleep + stress reduction – Beauty rest is real. Set boundaries, take a bath, and breathe.

💕 The Morning Of:

  • Cleanse lightly, apply a hydrating serum or mist, and seal with a nourishing moisturizer. I’ll take care of the rest.

Bonus: Don’t Forget the Body!

Backless dress? Shoulders showing? Book a back facial or gentle body exfoliation 2–3 weeks ahead. Body glow is everything.
